Tangled String Studio

Piper & Leaf + Tangled Leaf Open Mic

All performances at Tangled String Studios, RR7 at 2211 Seminole Drive in Huntsville, AL.

Synopsis: Piper & Leaf and Tangled Strings Studio are working together to foster young, local music talent. Kick back and enjoy this low-pressure opportunity perform in a public venue using high end gear. Instead of a traditional cover charge, grab a P&L drink then head over to their neighbors at Tangled Strings Studio to perform or listen to the open mic. Tangled Strings Studio is a premium performance venue used by professional music artists. Their studio quality sound equipment will be set up for use, as well as a piano and guitar on site. There are not a lot of venues that allow new artists in a professional atmosphere. Through this initiative, we hope to develop and foster talent in musicians of all ages and skill levels. If you know a young, aspiring artist, we invite you to share this opportunity to support their talent. Or participate; take the stage!

Lowe Mill Concerts on the Dock

Synopsis: This established neo-funk group is one of the midwest’s premier purveyors of groovealicious music. Blazing vocals, screaming horns, and a hard hitting rhythm section are the hallmarks of the band’s sound. Leading the charge is their vivacious singer Amber Knicole. From Soul Train lines and hula hoop choreography to gravity defying aerial routines and cringe-inducing leaps off the drum riser—all in 6-inch heels— this lady has a knack for leaving audiences enthralled.

Other info: Concerts on the Dock has grown from a small gathering of music lovers to an institution in the Huntsville music scene since the first note was struck in 2008. This free, family friendly series is all about creating a laid back atmosphere for friends of Lowe Mill to enjoy original content and interesting new acts, Friday nights during the Spring and Fall. Bring chairs, picnics, friends and pets on a leash and join us under the water tower!

Lowe Mill Concerts on the Dock

Synopsis: Join us at the dock to hear the young man Decatur record producer Jeremy Stephens called “better than the Alabama Shakes.” Lamont Landers started as a YouTube sensation and is now making waves in the rhythm and blues scene of his hometown Decatur, Alabama. Listeners compare his voice to Marvin Gaye, Luther Vandross, and Ray Charles— a mix of soul and rhythm and blues. Backed by keyboardist Kevin Canada, drummer Bowen Robertsonn and bassist Curtis Comack, Landers expects to release an album in April of this year.

Panoply of the Arts

Bimini Road

Synopsis: For the 4th (or is it the 5th) year, Bimini Road is honored to be part of the Panoply of the Arts in Hunstville. For decades, this weekend festival has celebrated all aspects of the arts, and music is no exception. Bimini Road will be playing on the Indie Stage, serving up a great set of our original, genre-defying tunes. Please join us!

Tickets: Day passes are $10, weekend passes $18.
