| Comments: I am so happy we are going to have a reunion. Thanks to those who are putting it together. I have been married to Eddie almost 38 yrs. We have 3 grown children (2 girls and 1 boy). They are all grown now. We also have a son-in-law and 2 grand-daughters ages 4 and 1. I have retired from teaching, but Eddie is still working. I stay busy with the house, yard, grand-children, reading, and shopping. Can't believe we are getting old. It seems like yesterday that we were sitting together in the auditorium. I loved my 3 yrs. at CHS. It added so much to my life. I met so many people and made so many friends. We had so much fun! All of you will always remain in my heart. We had a special class. There were way too many people much smarter than I was. But it didn't make a difference in our friendships. Things have changed in all our lives but the memories only seem to get better. I missed the 30th, but plan to make the 40th. Hope to see all my wonderful classmates in Nov! Love you all and God Bless! | ||

So nice that you guys still include me for Cullman
reunions! Having attended four different high
schools, I do have my favorite and CULLMAN is it. I
currently live in Crestwood, Kentucky, a suburb of
Louisville. I have one daughter, age 20, who is a
scholar and beauty queen. Go figure. Maybe the
latter is just to torment her feminist-leaning
mother; some of our classmates will remember when I
threw a fit because they wouldn't let me take shop
in 8th grade. Dannyielle is studying Chinese
language and economics this fall at the University
of Shanghai. She's a 4.0 math major with an interest
in business. She's very independent, and I've been
told "not to worry" about her being 8000 miles away,
ha! Having spent 15 years in international business
myself before becoming a gerontologist, I vaguely
recall the urge to travel. But I got most of that
out of my system long ago and now prefer to garden a
little in my back yard, listen to good music, read
thought-provoking books and brew strong coffee.
You'll probably get a laugh from hearing that I
recently recommended Stranger in a Strange Land to
one of my book clubs as our "classic of the year.
Only one other person had previously read it! That
made me wonder about my group -- how could you NOT
have read that book in the early 70's!?! I'm really
sorry that I won't be able to make it this time --
I'd already put down my deposit and committed to
attending the Kentucky Sierra Club annual meeting on
that date when I heard about it! Best regards to
everyone. 2019: Dannyielle and her fiancé Justin bought a 25-acre farm near New Glarus, Wisconsin, in 2015, so a couple years later, I also moved to Wisconsin. I really like it here — snow and all! An added benefit is also being close to my niece Amanda, her 5-year-old son and her husband who is stationed at the Great Lakes Naval Base in Illinois. It’s great being able to see them all more often. I’m sorry I’ll miss the Reunion in August, but I am grateful that you all keep me listed as a classmate even though I moved away before graduation! I have many fond memories of CHS and all of you!! If you’re ever in Wisconsin, please stop by to see me. |

my last retail store. Time passes so quick. 2019: I don't know how long I will continue to work but back and hip surgeries have knocked me out of playing golf. I was never any good at it but I sure liked being with the guys. Guess I will just have to ride with my buddies, cut up and drink beer. |
